Imagine turning any space into your personal gaming arena without the bulk of a large monitor or headset. That’s exactly what **ASUS ROG XREAL R1** aims to deliver: a lightweight pair of gaming glasses that can project a massive virtual screen wherever you are.

## Next‑Level Portable Display

Weighing just about **91 grams**, the ROG XREAL R1 glasses are designed to be comfortable for long gaming sessions while still packing cutting‑edge display tech. These aren’t ordinary smart glasses they use **240 Hz micro‑OLED Full HD panels**, making them the *world’s first* gaming eyewear with this level of refresh performance. That ultra‑fast refresh rate helps keep motion smooth and responsive, whether you’re playing fast shooters or cinematic story games.

When worn, the glasses create a **virtual screen up to 171 inches** in size at a simulated distance of about *four meters*, with a wide **57° field of view**. That’s huge comparable to sitting in front of a giant living‑room TV but without taking up physical space.

## Smart Features for Comfort and Immersion

- **Anchor Mode & 3DoF** – You can keep the virtual screen fixed in space like a floating display, or have it follow with head movement, thanks to three degrees of freedom tech built into the glasses.
- **Adaptive Lenses** – Electrochromic technology automatically or manually adjusts the tint of the lenses to match your environment, which helps with visibility outdoors or in bright rooms.
- **Immersive Audio** – Integrated audio tuned by **Bose** gives you spatial sound without needing separate headphones, making the experience feel more like sitting in a theater than wearing a gadget on your face.

- Two **HDMI 2.0** ports
- One **DisplayPort 1.4** port
- Switch between connected systems with a button press

You can also plug the glasses directly into devices like the **ROG Ally** handheld via USB‑C for instant play with no extra software or setup.

## Release Information

ASUS has indicated that the ROG XREAL R1 glasses are expected to start shipping in the **first half of 2026**, though official pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
